Our Mission
At PAWS For Support, we believe in the power of the emotional support that assistance and therapy dogs can give. Our mission is to provide comprehensive training and certification* for dogs that offer essential support to
1. Therapy or Well Being Dogs for
– Age Care Facilities and Hospital Settings
– Schools (Primary, Secondary, Tertiary and Special Needs)
– Private Practice (Occupational Therapist, Councellors)
2. Companion Dogs
Training specifically taylored for individuals and their disabilities. Through our specialized programs, we ensure that each dog is equipped with the skills needed to enhance the quality of life for their owners and work towards passing the Public Access Test.
We offer a personal service on both a one on one basis and in our training facility in Cheltenham (Melbourne). We are members of the *Australian Association of Professional Dog Trainers (Behaviour and Service Dog ) who are certified by the state government as an accredited Dog Training Organisation)

We offer classes for all age groups and obedience levels.
Therapy Dog Training
After an initial obedience and temperament assessment (free) , we can guide you as to the best course of action , whether it be classes or one on one training in order to be 100% confident in passing the therapy dog assessment.
Therapy Dog Certification
Our therapy dog certification program prepares dogs to provide emotional support in various settings such as hospitals, schools, and nursing homes. This course ensures that dogs meet the highest standards of behavior and temperament.
Public Access Training
Public access training is crucial for assistance dogs to navigate public spaces confidently and safely. This service ensures that dogs are well-behaved in various environments, from busy streets to public transportation.
